First Road Match, Game 2 (2-0-0) 24 March vs. Blue Valley (4-1) Girls' Season Stats Ok, it was in the high 30's, but it was a much better night, tonight than Tuesday. We were dry, and without wind—so great for soccer. I know the girls were expecting a tougher match tonight against the Tigers, perhaps a little worried about the Tigers' Arkansas signee, but for the most part it was all Saints. They came within inches of making the score 3-4 at half, as they just missed a goal with 7 seconds left in the half. And Watts' goals were magnificent. She scored on 3 direct kicks, all from roughly 20-some yards—power and placement. She even bent in her 3rd corner of the year, and this one with with her right foot from the left side. Wow. Even the goal she scored off the Cabantac pass was from distance. The Saints had not given up a goal in a month or so, but we are playing without All State Centerback, Assa Kante, but North also ...
