19th Straight Regional Title (24th overall)

Game 16: Region I Regional Finals (14-0-2)
19 May at Saint Thomas Aquinas vs. Topeka Seaman (7-0)

We came out with energy, possessing well, but we did not get many quality shots off in that first half. Seaman probably had something to do with that.  Watts scored two goals within 26 seconds of one another and that is where we stood at half—ahead 2-0.

Second half the ball found the net five more times, and we had some very nice builds. We had a nice Scherzer to Rylance goal; we got an O'Keefe t-ball to Abby, and a flurry of putbacks on a corner that resulted in a Marnster goal.

Every field player played, and played well.

Except for a couple of minutes late in the match Seaman did not really have any opportunities, but they had several in a couple of sequences with just under four to play.

The Saints will host Spring Hill (10-0 winner over Sumner) on Tuesday in the State Quarterfinals with a trip to the Final Four on the line!

Two final-four teams from last year, Southwest, Carroll will not be returning as they fell in the regional finals.
