Well, having the one seed makes quite a difference in your road to the Final Four. Tonight, we downed the winner of the play-in game, Topeka, Highland Park, 11-0, in just a half.

After a weekend of non-stop senior graduation parties, the girls came out pretty sharp in our first playoff match. The girls were scoring at a record pace that produced 10 goals in 11 minutes—at that pace they might have scored 36, but the game became more of a game of possession for most of the final 30 minutes until Abby knocked one in with 3 minutes remaining.

The best quote of the night came from Sydney as she warned the girls "not to be silly," as they would "play in a circle."

The girls will be hosting the Region I final at home on Thursday against the 9-seed,Topeka Seaman, an 11-5-1 team, as they hope to advance to the State Quarterfinals.
